Set up 25 years ago and boasting a turnover of €3.5m, this family business is owned and managed by John Stafford.

Over the last three decades, the company has established a reputation as a supplier of premium potatoes, vegetables and fresh fruit under the Slaney Farms brand.

Slaney Farms has invested over €2m in new state-of-the-art technology in storage, washing, grading and packing facilities, putting Slaney Farms at the forefront of potato production technology in Ireland.

Currently employing 24 full-time and eight part-time staff, the company has a fully-integrated potato processing system, from planting and growing to harvesting.

Slaney Farms also spearheads its own marketing and distribution, selling to retail multiples such as Tesco and Supervalu, as well as convenience stores countrywide.
