GLENILEN FARM LTD

Glenilen Farm is a dairy business owned by farmers Alan & Valerie Kingston, based in Drimoleague, West Cork. The Kingston's started selling yoghurts cheesecakes 20 years ago at the Skibbereen farmers market. They made everything in their kitchen and applied handmade labels to the finished products.

20 years on, the recipes haven't changed but a significant business and brand has been established both in the Irish and UK market.

Glenilen Farm produces natural farmhouse produce using milk from Kingston's herd and surrounding farms. The core lines are yoghurt and cold-set cheesecakes. Glenilen Farm's natural farmhouse yoghurt accounts for 70% of the total business. The yoghurt is made with live probiotic strains and is available in three ranges - Natural Yoghurt, Natural Yoghurt with Fruit, Thick and Fruity Natural Yoghurt.

Glenilen Farm is unique. This natural farmhouse brand is responsible for the creation of natural live yoghurts and cheesecakes using few ingredients and with no artificial additives or preservatives. All products are made on the family farm using milk from the Kingston's farm and that of their neighbours. The fruit yoghurts are bursting with real fruit and made with Glenilen Farm's live probiotic natural yoghurt. Glenilen Farm's range is the ultimate authentic farmhouse taste experience.

•Glenilen Farm believe in the benefits of sustainable business from brand strengthening and long-term cost savings, through stronger energy independence and believes in the concept of bringing locally made produce to the global market.
•As Glenilen’s’ primary raw material, milk, is produced on the family farm as well as being sourced from neighbouring farms, this allows the company to have total control over its primary raw material and ensures it is produced in the most sustainable manner possible while adhering to the highest standards in animal welfare.
•Within the water target area, Glenilen Farm performed strongly throughout 2020 with water intensity being reduced by over 7%.
•This was achieved by several initiatives, including participating in a dedicated water stewardship programme and completing the installation of a rainwater harvesting system.
